Another global update to change the logo link text to 'Home', also made some fun changes to my bio. Added a dynamic status inspired by MS Teams status (haha sob), and dynamic greeting in text based on visitor's timezone π
ok that IS extremely cute (i gotta look thru my links page bc i def need to misc update at least one other button too anyway...)
Commenting so I remember to update it once I'm back updating my website again haha
noo you!!! very pleased to have you here so i can spy on all your website changes :D
I guess I can't reply to your reply, but I've never been so happy to hear someone spy on my site :D
Aww hahaha that's alright, it happens! The buttons are scarily close to each other, it's crazy! If I blogged more I would totally add that to my site, I'll have to keep it in mind for future stuff!! I will def be using it on yours, I love all of your posts! I'm doing well and I hope you are too! Your site is awesome as always!ππΎβ¨πβ¨
That's good to know! I like the idea of having a kudos button on my blog posts, which is a feature that I miss since moving away from Bearblog.
I've added kudos to my blog posts!! π also a life in pics post https://frills.dev/blog/240216-life-in-pics/
ha i loooooove the fuckin unadulterated jpeg approach actually (and just noticed the images r thru data:image even...Cool As Fuck)
@sneek something about that crunchiness that I love. and yesss I convert them to base64 coz I can't be bothered to categorise them in a folder and love the magic of all those characters making a frikken picture ππ
right!!!!! ive been considering a pics/observations area for my site -- some lovely details of some pics would get lost with supercrunchy methods (and im very fine with categorizing pics) but i could well consider an Absolutely Scuffed Specials corner...
little post about how to make ASCII art accessible! https://frills.dev/blog/240212-accessible-ascii/
OOOOOH thank you so much for that little post on ASCII art and accessibility - I was wondering how to do something similar earlier and I think this works perfectly!! Thank you so much for sharing this!! π₯Ή π
THANK YOU for the accessibility stuff, i've always wondered how screen readers interpret ASCII (spoilers: they don't lol). I've added this to my resources page :)
@nonkiru you're very welcome! I just stumbled upon it tbh, and now I am obsessed with ASCII art ππ₯°
all good π€£ (ur neocities could not handle my oliponders containment breach (im joking))
