Attempting to engage in a craft you've never tried before will give you great respect for people who excel at it. It's a good mental exercise. I've been trying to make a song cover for the past few days for comic reasons and wow. How do some people do this all the time?

There should be a web community where you share your email and open yourself up to random mail. Some kind of pen pal program. I'm sure it already exists, but I'm thinking something less formulaic. Just submit your email in a form, it goes on the front page of the website, and random people can email you. But it would probably be abused by spammers so, maybe not.

On my website, you're now forced to look into my eyes. I want to start a trend of people doing that on their sites, a small ~40px image of your eyes. Not your whole face, just the eye part. That way we can all remember each other more. I think it would be beautiful. Maybe I'll make a page about it so it can spread.
