no problem. you're right about it being interesting that pewdiepie would be talking about reclaiming your privacy. like, if he can turn all the app-crazy dudebros who still think he's cool, google hasn't got a hope :P

those are interesting, except pewdiepie is a massive antisemite and racist

@badgraph1csghost when i saw the video all i thought was "cool, someone as influential as pewdiepie is talking about the importance of privacy and the alternatives to google. something is changing!". I didn't think about the rest, but I should have. I will remove the recommendation, thank you for pointing it out
My new entry is quite long, so be ready if you want to read! I talk about diagnoses and how they sometimes are used to keep the status quo, as someone who has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety.
Despite having quite an opposite experience with diagnosises, love your entry quite a lot 🩷🙏 this is a kind of conversation that's not brought up enough!
Let's all get a little antipsych in 2026
agree with everything you say- diagnosis is an important tool but it is often misused. i guess what comes to mind though is: even if your pain had been somehow "just your brain chemistry", why would i (as a teacher, school, institution) not try to support you through it still? i think this conversation goes even beyond keeping the systems unaccountable for its damaging actions and discrimination
i think ultimately the solution of this problem comes not only with putting more responsibility of the environment, but with building an environment that is welcoming of everyone altogether, whatever the cause of someone's struggles are. but also yeah the way your pain was weaponised against you was awful. a lot of people out here should do their fair bit of self reflection
