For me, that was the last decade where you could still tune into your typical "Top 40" station on the radio and find great music by artists who had their own totally unique sound.
Yes! Where I live we used to have a rock/punk/metal station called "The Buzz". They even planned all day concerts like ozzfest. Sadly they died out, now there's is no rock stations left. It's all rap/hip-hop here now.
Oh yeah! I saw Ozzfest back around '98 in Virginia, where I'm originally from. Black Sabbath had reunited the original line up and Type O Negative was there. I 'think' Marylin Manson played too. It was a great show.
Wow, there is just something about the 90s that just feels different. I can't be the only one who thinks the music was just better back then.

Man that sounds like an amazing show. Type O Negative was such an under rated band.
