it was the exact opposite with me lol... i needed the stability of a somewhat regimented schedule and i loved the whole "computer-based busywork" / "per your last email" experience. but a lot of people hate office work with a vengeance. i'd say if it feels wrong, don't do it. find what's right.
Thanks, I can definitely see the value in that and I might find more peace with a regular schedule. I can always quit and try other things if I really hate it
I've worked in many offices and yes, there are very annoying things about it. However, I'm glad I worked a bunch of in-person jobs early in my career because it let me practice communication skills. In my experience that's been one of the most valuable things to know! And yes, at the end of the day, it is just a job and you can always try new things.
