Trying to even start on finding a new job has felt like pulling teeth, I almost kinda just want to ride my current one into the ground and worry about finding new ones once I actually have an empty schedule to do it. I put my personal projects on hold so I can work on my resume and portfolio in my free time but I just end up feeling worse and procrastinating even more. I'm so fucking bad at balancing all of this lmao

Had to update that entry in the Device Museum one last time, because I don't think music is a hobby I'm cut out for. (I know people often have the reaction of "don't give up!" or "just try again later!" but I legit can't get into it in a healthy, forgiving way so I'm just not gonna.) Also I sent out a bunch more free stickers and added a button

Getting tired of buying stamps for my free stickers in batches of 10-20 or so, so I've been researching how to print them individually from home with PitneyShip. Found an untested QL-800 printer on eBay for $10 and gambled on it to see if it works...and it DOES. The colorful postage stamps I usually use will be replaced by those fancy print-from-home QR code ones that Etsy sticker shops use very soon!

Yes that one was a little bit of a cheat but it still counts: anyone can send a self-addressed envelope to certain bases in Antarctica and they'll mail it back to you with special markings on it, espec. for stamp collectors. I did the same thing but slipped a sticker in the envelope in case a scientist there is interested. Haven't heard back from them yet though! https://www.nsf.gov/geo/opp/antarctic-stamp-collecting

General safety reasons, since it is pretty unsafe for a minor to be messaging a random adult online. And yes, it's okay if you have your parents do it. I had to put this rule in recently because someone under 18 tried to get free stickers in a way where their parents wouldn't find out, which gets dangerous

yeah uni is making me feel similar. before shit hit the fan i could still hyperfocus on my site, and now i actually gotta force myself to work on it when i have actual free time
For context I've been feeling burned out at my current job and wanted to try finding a new one, but I think I should just go down with the ship so I can actually be happy in my free time again to do Neocities stuff. It would really suck to move again but my family is nearby if I truly need to crash at their place from unemployment

I'm sort of in the same boat. Looking, but not jumping on applying to anything unless it sounds 100% up my alley. It's not so bad riding it out since I can basically do my work on autopilot + my employer isn't THAT toxic. Gives me the mental capacity to work on things I care more about, anyway
This is pretty relatable... I just graduated from my master's program, so I've been using working on my site to distract me from the whole... job situation.
And it doesn't help that jobs nowadays want you to prove yourself worthy for a mediocre wage...
