new tools page! still a bit WIP, and mostly about my music gear, with a few other random softwares too. also added another unreleased song to the music page, called "sylvia (secret friend)" which i am quite proud of!

i have tried so many damn sub-$300 used grooveboxes (Novation included) and still havent found The One yet. i think it's inevitable that im going to end up with an SP-404mk2

i've definitely deliberated on the sp404, though an og digitakt also seems mighty tempting... it's difficult to make a decision since i don't want to get another piece of equipment to just collect dust if the workflow doesn't click lol

Ooh, gear talk! SP404mk2 is very tempting.. I have been quite interested in the microfreak as well. Or some Bastl? I really like the PO33, I use it a lot because it's easy to bring around. Kind of unrelated, but I have to recommend the Soma Ether too, been having so much fun with it. I've been really into compact/portable gear these days- I don't have the space for big synths anymore sadly.

@ichomancer there's definitely something to be said about a compact setup. i love my current gear, but to really use it requires me to be very stationary lol. i end up just using my laptop more often than i'd like since it allows me to work on music wherever i want to i've also used the PO33 from a friend, it's pretty fun! and i've never heard of the soma ether before, that seems super unique

𓆩𓆪 Thank you! It was a scan of my live setup from 2021-2023. I have since minimized my setup, but I do miss how interactive that old table was. 𓆩𓆪

i'm using vscodium now, and it works fine, but it requires so much more setup to achieve the same functionality phcode has out of the box. i know having that level of customization is the point, but man am i tired of having to roll up my sleeves and manually shape the environments i work in every few months just to make it manageable

Felt, I'm also on the same "Fuck Phoenix Code I guess I'm VSCodium now" train and it's like... it was so easy to just NOT
finally started adding stuff to the lab! there are three new "experiment" pages, which are mostly just me rambling about the technical details of certain parts of my site lol
