I understand the sentiment about your blog xD it's pretty much why i don't write anything tooooo personal, those i keep in my journal xD i do like reading your entries tho! I saw someone on neocities that have a journal page but they censor the more personal stuff, maybe that could be an idea for you... Also can't wait for the oyster mushroom perfume review!
coffee plant, that’s very interesting and the complete opposite of my problem. i have no issue with people irl finding me, but am worried about online strangers knowing too much. agree with kuroi above, i try to keep my site focused and the personal stuff in my offline journal :)
don’t worry about stressing people out though, your opinions and ramblings are always welcome!
soooooo real, both the blog portion and the job search, its a hard balance between wanting to share and sharing too much, and good luck on the job search and the fellowship! :)
thank you all for your input!! i worry less about revealing too much information about myself, and more about expressing too much vulnerability hahaha. its far easier to be vulnerable while anonymous as opposed to vulnerable in front of people who truly know me in person. Maybe I will go back through and censor the more vulnerable parts of my blog posts at some point.
though you are all very kind. and it's nice to feel comfortable being vulnerable in front of you all. :)
No worries, coffee! Its one of the things i really like on the indie web, people are more free to be unique and vulnerable around here, and i think its what makes all the interactions more meaningful. Even if we cant interact directly on a blog post, just reading them brings that feeling of closeness in a way. It's really nice
@ancientcrypt and @kkbkkb I got tome, coastal veil, and apple tabac from Pineward :’) do rest assured I’ll be sampling clue perfumery in the future, though. I’ve gotten countless recs for warm bulb.
Thank you! You're the second person in the last little while to specifically mention the gallery, so I think it deserves some love soon. I really like your use of dithering on your site as well, you're riding the line between comfy and spooky very well.
New neighbors!! And a couple updates to the wiki masterlist: I restructured my "people" section to just be one category, made the PA locations into a dropdown, and added some new articles. Barnacle (parking), Extreme ironing, Hatfields & McCoys, Metoecus paradoxus, Mickey Mouse degrees, NEET, Puriteen.
:)) Many updates to come! Enjoying your work too, very much so. It has been inspiring for some future endeavors!
oh i wanna add more perfume reviews too but i cant keep spending a bunch of money on samples :( i wanna try the clue perfumery sample set and pineward is coming out with a cool new fragrance called "tome" in a few days...
maybe you could add a window as a door? or a hidden compartment in a closet/cupboard?
@inthemeantimewecry oooh the window is a great idea actually!!! I never considered the fact that coffeeplant is quite windowless!!
thank you so very very much! :')) you too, and your music is fantastic. you're super talented!!! signing up for the mailing list...
Some more Art Theft section entries to the wiki masterlist: 1972 Montreal Museum of Fine Arts robbery, John Tillman, List of stolen paintings, Nationalmuseum robbery.
