hi, certified nerd here. [insert some vile statements here]. i'll admit that i skimmed this but that setup looks real good. how do you feel with bash? i think i would've torn my hair out if i had to write that much of it - i hate the syntax

anything w/ tiling windows is too much rice for me... nvim is pretty hard too. why dont u use zsh or fish?

also ricing is almost always performative, nobody does this shit and doesn't post screenshots and coonfigs online. i have a theory that the less rice the better the programmer, case in point: terry davis used stock ubuntu.

@brachy it's honestly a pain and i always need too many windows open when doing bash stuff. luckily the real scripts here are pretty lightweight. the most painful thing i've had to do is C in my OS class back in the day so JUST getting term errs is cozy enough

@dali i picked it up using a thinkpad w busted nipple and usb ports :/ i only use (n)vim on my machines w lazyvim and plugins. nano is 2ez. i use zsh on the full apple devices i have. just never personally felt the need to switch that from stock anywhere

the only 3 specific books on my anti list for now: the bible, book of mormon, infinite jest. i'll at least *try* to read anything else i figure
@dali part3 because i always push code too early. ricing is 10000% performative. tech and car world i'd imagine. i see it as a cringe necessary step to getting a cozy setup. everyone's first build is rounded corner animation bloat that would make windows scream. each step gets you closer to a daily driver tho. In regards to *posting* about it, i certainly have no irl friends to show this to and i think we all just
want to share our hobbies
part4: if you see this on reddit tho i've been mkultrad
Excuse me but I've learned everything I know about hacking with the OG hackers Zero Cool and Acid Burn, and it's a known fact you need to rice so hard you turn everything into a cool 3D UI to better visualize how the software people work inside the hardware city, just like Tron has showed us.
