Like idk about ya'll (and im DEFINITELY not defending axayacatl here)... But I don't think someone seemingly going through a mental health crisis constitutes as "drama"

It would be easier to have reasonable conversations if neo didn't limit the ever living hell out of the length, times and amounts we can post here. I have no idea what you're referring to but I can't see any possible way that neo gets any better than it is without changing from the ground up to actually support human conversations.

This is why adding social media features was a mistake. People treat the comment box like a twitter feed instead of using it for what it's designed for (site updates and whatnot)

I even started to go a bit off-topic myself with my messages as i came to grow a bit closer to the community and i have found that particularly dearly wholesome.

It would be a genuine shame to restrict a feature that overall has, *at-least for me*, brought more good vibes than bad ones. And I do also understand where your message comes from the fundamental purpose of what Neocities was built for.

((,; ⩌ ;,) Apologies for the infodump), my main point being is that *i think* that Neocities can keep working as non-intended social media. Given that the internet's userbase has everything to offer, it becomes awfully inevitable that a rotten sprout here and there occasionally. (∩˃o˂∩) But anyway i could also be wrong. I really have earnestly enjoyed my time in here since day 1 and wish the same for everyone too.

I try to not get too involved in discussions on the feed because it gets parasocial and you don't really know or learn to know the people you're talking to, so it does end up feeling a lot like your average social media sometimes. and just like on social media, there is a cancel culture, drama, and all that we're trying to get away from in the indie web. I prefer forums, those at least have moderation unlike Neocitie
