I have a new version that might be better: https://7nonsense.neocities.org/images/buttons/7nonsense_2.gif
I agree, the software used for printing is awful, and another thing unusable without a smartphone is not something I am too content with, but I love that you can print just about anything you want from photos to arts to labels. And a Game Boy Printer is very hard to come by in these places. Also doesn't it have an oddly specific paper width?
By the way, after writing this I went to look if there's a PC software or a web UI for these printers and found this: https://github.com/NaitLee/Cat-Printer . Works with mine!
Oh yes, it's a little finicky but that cat-printer android software worked. I'll have to try installing it on Linux if I'm feeling up to it. And yes the game boy printer paper is an uncommon width but it's still being made. The diameter will be too large though but that's not a big deal.
i love when technology starts working after a good bonk
