It's been a while since ive last pushed a big update to my website, wow! You can now add comments to my Kiwitter (microblog posts)! As I'm heading towards a 2 week break from the chatroom, i figured it would be a good time to launch this update. I thought it would be a fun little way to keep in touch in a slower pace while sticking to the post topic. Hope it's working as it should :')

aww i'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you!! Your website is amazing, such a creative work with the pages and the cursors, i was amazed while exploring!!
bruh to be really honest, i didnt like it xDD super disappointed ToT
The humming detection is willllllld
@karpdm but yeah that was pretty dope, imagine going like DOO DOO DOOOOOO to your switch and it knows which song it is xD
@kuroi what were your qualms? Curious!
@win1999 i was expecting more graphically, it does like those fanmade unreal remakes xD i also feel like the art style isn't consistent, the main characters and npcs feel like they're from a different game, it also feels a bit unpolished since link and zelda look different in every scene they showed. I was also expecting they would expand the locations and add stuff they wanted to but couldn't back then due to(...)
(...) hardware limitations. Having a 1:1 remake in 2026 after we already one on the 3DS was super disappointing. I guess they expanded some sidequests through that phone app but... Bruh why do we need a phone app to play the game, that was so silly in my opinion... I also didnt like the voice acting, especially navi's xD I mean the game has potential but i guess i was just expecting way more from it :(
It truly looks bad...
@kuroi it does look like those unreal engine remakes definitely :D
Im reaaaaally hoping that what they showed on the trailer is from older builds xD the main characters were very inexpressive in some scenes and then had more expression in others, i got really bothered by how inconsistent everything looks. I saw some Link renders after the trailer and he looks really good actually... Gotta wait and see how's it going to be really
oh yeah i cant forget about that damn fog everywhere, feels so overused and i really hate how it makes everything look washed out. I emulated the wiiU version of BOTW a while back and they added a mod to remove the fog, made everything look way better lol
@kuroi it's funny i feel like i'm usually the really critical person, and I didn't watch the Switch Direct (i heard it was cringe), but I didn't find the trailer that bad. It does feel a little off, and the inconsistencies you mentioned I think are valid. Granted, I think remakes are generally a letdown, and I can't think of a single remake that I made the original better (except maybe Link's Awakening for GBC)
@kuroi furthermore, your critique on the fog... thats a polarized topic in itself! I think there was a critique when Switch online released 64 games they upped the draw distance, which killed the atmosphere. I think fog was a staple of the 64, and by proxy, the established atmosphere. All that being said, I think this is just an attempt for a new generation to enjoy OoT. Now you gotta play Majora's Mask!
@win1999 i totally understand the fog and the draw distance thing, its a super valid concept in game dev, i just thought it was super weird that there was fog in the main square of the castle town xD things were super close, why was there fog in there? But yeah, it looked good overall but the inconsistencies and the apparent lack of expansion in content/locations were what let me down the most
Gotta wait for the game to release to see if it will grow on me or not xD but yeah youre right, its hard to see a remake that tops the original. but it could still be a good remake, i know it has potential. And yeah i definitely need to start playing majoras mask again and finally beat it after so long xD
@kuroi I did not notice the fog in the courtyard... yeah weird AF. Not to mention how they changed some of the platforms in Deku Tree (no longer free floating...) I've since watched more footage and become a little more bummed. If you ever do finish Majora's Mask, you should try out the romhack "The Missing Link".
