jadeeverstone.com will remain on neocities for now, but as a 'just in case', I'm setting up an outpost on nekoweb (https://jadeeverstone.nekoweb.org/). Nothing is mirrored yet as I've run into issues with recent site backups, but I might throw on a few things just to get familiar over there

Smaller edit today. Seems the tool I was using to show my RSS feed onsite (feedroll) doesn't work anymore, so it's been removed & replaced with just a site-info bar. + When it was active, I noticed feedroll impacted the index page's performance. So it's better to leave out anyways.

As for the RSS feed itself, it's still gonna be onsite. Though a heads up, I'm looking to close & re-do it in the future. More code tidying, making it an actual XML file, etc. I'll push an update letting people know when I roll out that change

since it's been floating around the past two days. Am dissapointed in Kyle's interest in AI (esp. considering half for web revival is escaping things like gen.AI), but I'll wait and see before deciding on switching. Will be keeping other hosts in mind, but I don't want to break anything onsite / go completely offline on impulse

@murid - tl:dr an article the main dev of neocities wrote a year ago surfaced wher hee writes about his interest in AI (https://kyledrake.com/writings/ai). from what I've glanced, it's mostly a general ramble / doesn't seem to bleed into Neocities itself. But it's left a bad taste in some people's mouths
I made site progress - https://io-android.tumblr.com/post/763833132626722816/i-actually-made-site-progress-this-week-after - after fighting with recoding the gallery layout, I decided to scrap it for a wider vers. of the main layout in the next update. The recode of the old layout was causing a lot of problems for me, and I feel the goal of "keeping the focus on the page content" is still achieved here

Most of the other changes made recently were under-the-hood & beginning to port over some pages to the new layout. So that's pretty much the 'newest' thing I got to show off coding-wise

I feel it's important to bring up that launching this not just about my art, but about needing help. TL:DR, I'm looking to leave my current home & put some distance between me and a certain family member (esp. with current events). It's a large goal, and I'll need any financial support I can get.
