Adding less animations would help, or just using no animations at all (only text animation on :hover is fine) having color constrast would improve acessibility too, like white background, dark text or dark background white text
@floralchai thank you for your advice! truthfully i've avoided removing the breathing effect of the main container bc i had a workaround that made it so that it isn't super taxing on the system, but i might just have to take the L and scrap that animation altogether lol. i've got lots to think about, i really appreciate your input!! :-)
on further investigation of the performance of my website on my work laptop, i've decided that i think i just need to rewrite all of my CSS and HTML @_@
