i think there's so much probaganda that art has to be laborous and suffering and it makes us trivialize the natural flow of creativity, as if civilizations haven't been built upon this flow. most artists i enjoy are past their "prime" in popularity and making what i believe is their best work because it's striking in it's authenticity
so much of the beauty is in the process of creation and only you get to witness it and see a work in it's true context and that's a luxury only you have and it's more valuable than any observer's perspective
i feel that. i catch myself making stuff so often with the idea in my mind that it will positively impact peoples image of me but that just completely blocks my flow of creativity. its hard to just make stuff for myself then choose to share it afterwards if i want to
