It also looks strange and unpolished. Black on black is not a good idea, lightly speaking. For the main page portion, add a BG translucency (or just find a better BG img) for more prettiness.
Or make the text pink or soemthing.
Looks normal but if anything I agree with @pancontinental with the black on black design. It coul just be a bit tricky but it doesn’t look messed up on my device
