i was thinking "fiancent", treating it like a verb and conjugating it for "they" (plural), but the silent "nt" might be offputting for english speakers. i've also heard "fian-they", but idk how serious to take that :/

To add to it, if I do get fired that means I lose access to my medical insurance in the middle of a medical emergency. My options are basically power through it until I pass out and split my head open or not go to work and potentially lose my ability to try to get the problem fixed.

The second choice could easily be fixed if the US government didn't hate it's citizens and didn't only recognize them as people only if they are working as wage slaves.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I'm curious what you mean by "I care too much about my fellow person" when you talk about not wanting a managerial position. In many ways, you've described yourself as already taking up a lot of that role within your current work environment, even suggesting you have it in all but name. Are you worried that having actually authority would corrupt or distance you in some way?

I'm more ok with organizing things, less ok with the idea of having to suggest someone be fired or outright firing them myself. People have mouths to feed, bills to pay, and other problems. I'm far too empathetic to the plight of the worker to be in a position where I am forced to put that to the side.

Adding to that, I hate the idea of being the right hand of the corporate fuedal state. I work to live, not to help the company's profits and appease investors. If I knew that I would be doing all the excess stuff that I've been having to do I would not have applied to this job. As is, I didn't. I applied for an entirely different position.

I had been told during my interview that "we can hire you for this or we can give you a janitorial position which is pretty laid back" which I have come to find out was a military recruiter level lie.
