good idea. its a cute idea for ur fans/supporters to help support u financially :P could label it
@lakes just to be clear i am referring specifically to mutual aid for palestine and other important causes, not promoting a gofundme for myself
@lakes but ofc if you or anyone wants to promote their own gofundmes, it’s not my site and people can do whatever they want!😊
@limovars @hhorses yeah just to be clear. limovars is correct. it wont be my own gofundme. but other people's
got it set up after some struggling (apparently html links don't like ampersands so i had to set it as &) but thank you!
oh that's hilarious. apparently writing the html ascii key makes it just an & again - i'd meant & / amp;
Much of mainstream tv shows head in the direction of never adopting actually radical positions, preferring only to portray suffering under capitalism void of any viable solutions. Mark Fisher goes into this in Capitalist Realism
@limovars RIGHT!! i've noticed this too. but i was thinking maybe squid game would at least be entertaining about it. but you're right though. even severance which is a better show doesn't show any possible radical solutions at least yet. the only exceptions i can think of are star trek & sorry to bother you. one of the reasons i respect boots riley as a director is how openly communist he is
Not sure if I am looking at the right thing, but /musicofwhenever is showing Win7 styled borders for me. MX Linux / Firefox.
@thehoneypot i mean for me it's less about them being win7 styled (they are still are for me too). it's just that the custom colors i put are GONE!!
@thehoneypot like compare the thumbnail for the homepage to the ACTUAL homepage and you'll see what i mean
Oh my bad I do see what you mean. I can see on the article you set --window-background-color to the shade of red that's in the thumbnail, but I am struggling to find where that variable is then used. The inner title-bar uses --w7-w-glass. When I manually set that to --window-background-color, the colour appears, albeit not transparent but I think if you explore that hopefully you will find the fix!
Yeah got it - On the .window::before css, set background-color to --window-background-color and the custom colours (and correct transparency) appears!
@thehoneypot i can't edit that part of the css since i have the win7/98/xp stuff linked from a third party rather than directly hosted on my site. but i might see if i can download it on my computer later
i have a working copy of the 7.css stylesheet on my site if that helps: https://polemoniaceae.neocities.org/7.css
i feel like as long as its sincere people will understand! if sincere to you means no funny business, then that is how you should go.
@seasoups thanks
Silly is fine if that's what your heart wants, personally I'd be more likely to donate to something that made me laugh than a very serious no goofing around donation page - maybe make it look like the Winrar free trial notification? It would match the Windows theme :)
You can start with a simplistic version of your normal layout with short descriptions for each Fund and then see how comfortable you are adding more elements or touching-up text.
