-cool! I adore having the music I love as a PHYSICAL object, reading through the liner notes and booklets. Time and effort was put into all of that too and I want to APPRECIATE IT!! And just shallowly, popping a CD into my boombox or car feels so much more cozy than putting on a youtube playlist. I've also found that despite still being digital media, the friction of priracy really makes me appreciate media more-

I absolutely feel the same about piracy, which for legal reasons, I've never done, of course, but if I did, I'd be really thankful for each piece of art/ media I managed to track down. My age bracket is full of people going to both extremes. Fully automated AI-assisted cerebral suicide, & people who like having a physical CD collection. XD I am sorry to hear that you have similar experiences with folks who just don't get it. If Spotify, or any of the other streaming platforms ever goes down, you'll be sitting pretty with your wonderful collection while everyone else loses their fucking minds.
