okay, switching back to i2p plus seems to have worked. but again still gonna move the clearnet site over to nekoweb

according to notbob, the new i2p plus update has websites working again. so i might move back to that if things work well over there. i still might move to nekoweb & i2pd as backups however. plus moving to nekoweb means i can use this neat iframe trick to still update you guys on the site
i might switch to nekoweb instead of exclusively hosting over i2p. i can't find enough resources to determine what i'm doing wrong. THOUGHT i had i2pd configured properly but idk if it can access the i2psnark's docroot folder. i'm also too afraid to ask over the i2p irc & too embarrassed to make a reddit account just for the i2p subreddit. besides i heard nekoweb is better about protecting against ai anyway

ok i have decided i'm gonna host my server over i2pd instead of i2p plus. since it's consistently working better for me. but i'm a bit nervous because enabling a web server on i2pd requires a bit extra configuration

i tried to download the marxist internet archive as a zim file for offline reading in kiwix and it confused me for a bot and the ip address i set my vpn set to got BANNED! i'm sorry. i guess it's good they have anti-ai measures, but the onion address wasn't working for a while. so i thought it'd be a good idea at that time

Thinking of moving off neocities. I like the people on here and will probably keep my account just to follow people. BUT I got a message weeks ago, saying they found my site through an AI. While I appreciated the compliments they gave my site & that they found my site, it kinda has me worried.

There's a case where an AI was asked about who a random adult performer with a stage name was and basically doxxed her. Now I'm not sure if I'd be doxxed per se. But I don't feel safe if AI can see my website even with the robots.txt.

I'm not sure whether I'd move to codeberg pages, nekoweb or only self host over I2P after the bot net situation gets sorted out. (There was a massive bot net attack over I2P recently which sucks but I2Pd works. So maybe I'll host my site over there? I'm not sure.)

the reasons why i was hesistant to host on nekoweb is because of the size limitations and plus i kinda wanted to be less reliant on a single service
