the Gnostics claimed that the Kingdom of God is within each of us, but it may not be equally distributed. as Terry A. Davis would say, [the CIA] may glow in the dark, but God's light is much brighter and he has given it to him.

I do agree that God is unknowable, but every once in a while he may reveal himself in ways that cannot be measured by scientific means or known through reason alone.

Reading those like Simone Weil, Tolstoy and other "outsider Christians" feels much more in line with a revolutionary Christianity, truly linking itself to the sacred heart of Christ. I hope I am not projecting my own perspectives here, I wished to share my thoughts with you as someone who has a somewhat similar view regarding the allure of the religion despite the ultimate rejection of it - koil (2)

# Why I'm Not A Christian - I have only just discovered your website and I am aware this is an older entry, but I have to agree with your views in this regard. Christ is the ultimate symbol of revelation for me but there are parts of the Christian body which feel antithetical, especially the upholding of the Old Testament. I am as well, deeply tempted by the anchor of the church. (1)
