when I installed mint, I just used etcher which took a while but didn't have any real problems for me. got it from the install guide docs > https://etcher.balena.io/

if you use multiple isos to install different stuff, ventoy is really convenient ! you install it onto a flash drive and then all you need to do is drag and drop isos, then you just select the one to boot into from a menu! (it actually is rly convenient even if you dont use multiple oses bc you can put diagnostic stuff on there like memtest as well)

thanks to you both but @draggian i already used balena. it's just that my iso file got corrupted while downloading

if it got corrupted, try downloading it from a different mirror, then check the SHA-256 hash. if it corrupts again, the hash will corrupt too. (you can check hashes manually with 7-Zip if you don't want to download more software)

I second the suggestion of checking the hash, especially when using Mint. It is a popular distro, so hacked copies have been passed around before. https://www.zdnet.com/article/hacker-hundreds-were-tricked-into-installing-linux-mint-backdoor/

you could install on mint to demo/save the headache of full install. iirc you can change your DE from the login screen

you can test out kubuntu in a virtual machine with VirtualBox. Can give u a chance to try out the desktop environment without wiping ur PC again :)
as you should! (no, but seriously the catch of having your very own personal website is posting whatv interest is in you mind right now! if that's linux mint then let it be it ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
@inthemeantimewecry thanks!! that's true!! i may be cringe but i am free
I like reading about what people are up to when they post on their walls, KEEP IT COMING HOMIE!
i like it as someone who's curious ab linux!!! (i tried mint years ago) keep posting man!
i'm glad you all seem to enjoy it!! :)
i remember the first time i used linux mint, it was such a nice feeling xD finished college and my graduation project using it, oh the memories
@kuroi one thing i'm really happy with is that my computer boots faster. but idk if that's because it's so lightweight or because it's less cluttered or both (probably both)
probably both xD i switched to mint back then because my laptop was SO slow with windows, i added mint as a dual boot and i was so surprised by how fast it worked, felt like i had a new computer xD
