Why the Internet feels so empty recently? I don't mean any "dead Internet theory", but despite the fact everyone has non-stop Internet access in mobile, nobody is responding at time or responding at all. I could understand somebody may ignore request and requirements, but normal chatting? Why? In just a middle of conversation -stop-, I don't think I'm saying something to give a reason to stop conversation~

I think it's because most mainstream social media encourages endless doomscrolling and mindless consumption instead of the social part of social media. If you want one where people actually talk to each other FriendRewind and Y2Social are excellent along with a lot of other smaller alternative social media.
i agree with @bootlegdomain, I think a lot of mainstream social media is more of an attention trap than trying to encourage conversation... which is really such a hard thing to see all the time. I also wonder--could a part of it be just that talking through a screen feels less real? not to everyone of course--but words on a screen can probably feel different from a face-to-face interaction? Just my two cents haha-

Modern Social Media has become a festival for impurity. The doom scrolling, the toxic hate around other people who didn't even do anything wrong for that matter, and also controversy. Something that I could do but being wise at the same time is the reason why I escaped Modern Social Media and came here at the first place. It's sad, but it's also understandable at times.
