why not have both? interchange them. different versions of a page or something. or perhaps "click to make me human" type thing? do whatever you want forever!
you could do it so that they have a little bubble that says "click me doo ittt" and then when you click they switch with a quick little squish-and-stretch animation!!

but now i am realizing how emotionally attached i am to my little index drawings how will i function without them

like corvid said, you can still do non-furry along with furry art! it would be a cool opportunity to show off your range of styles~
