EVERYONE LOOK INTO EMMET/HTML SNIPPETS IMMEDIATELY!!! ive been using them for a while, but emmet *variables* have changed my life. I use snippets for my blog and microblog posts, because it lets me type one word and have it expand into a html template i defined so its WAY easier to start writing posts. HOWEVER variables can enter the date and time automatically so i literally type "micro" and start typing the post :D
oh ok and now i'm redesigning everything because i like this blog so much ok wow yay

ok, not ready enough to be pushed, but I remade and redesigned the blog page and i LOVE how it looks now!! i'm really excited to finish this up tomorrow and get the first of many remade pages uploaded :D
(i'm also surprised i actually managed to get so much done with it today, it is not like me to say im gonna do something tomorrow and then ACTUALLY do it tomorrow)

uni deadlines are over, gonna get back on my site overhaul again so i can FINALLY have an outlet online again. i've missed working on this site so much, its insane to me how well my adhd riddled brain has committed to this (coming up on 2 years in a couple months, crazy to think about.... wow......)

i might just set myself the challenge of getting some of it ready enough so i can push the new homepage at least asap, even unfinished. I just want to get the ball rolling on the site update because otherwise im falling right back into that development limbo i talked so much about avoiding on my blog... I do have to test compatibility for quite a lot of stuff though because i've made some kinda experimental stuff

just updated the code for linking my button to have the new URL for the image. the big update likely wont happen until maybe like tuesday
My big site remake stuff is gonna mean my site button is in a new directory, HOWEVER, i've set up a URL rewrite thingy which SHOULD hopefully mean that anyone who has my button hotlinked (which i explicitly allow) shouldn't even have to do anything! theoretically it should just work :D

i feel the need to mention in a standalone post that im also working on new sites and stuff! two completely new sites, and a few services im trying to unify into a more cohesive collection of websites and pages (like my itch.io and gumroad profiles)!! more about those when the next update is out, id like to write about all this in a blog post because i have been up to a LOT lately (and will continue to be for a bit)
i intended to have a couple microblog posts out by now this month but i have been overwhelmed by how many wacky creative ideas my brain has been churning out lately and I have also started completely remaking my whole site from scratch so uhh... that might take me a sec... but anyway, happy pride month!!!!!

the next site update is quite literally everything from scratch. All HTML, all CSS, the layout will look similar but internally it will be VERY different and WAY simpler to manage, cleaner, more responsive, and more accessible (i will be testing usability with screen readers site-wide). A few pages will be redesigned completely, a few will be shuffled around, but every single one of them will be updated!!! yayyyy
im in the middle of working on my blog and about page redesigns and learned about emmet variables and felt the need to share. in other news i've figured out an actually really elegant solution to in-page content swapping with ONLY HTML AND CSS!!! i will share soon
