I'm surprised that it's been a couple of days and it still hasn't been fixed, and there isn't anywhere we can check for status updates except for the one at the bottom of the site, right?? :(
Yeah, I'm a little concerned tbh. And not as far as I know, no. And there's been no updates to the blog since 2019. :I
Neocities being slow on developments seems to have been a problem since 2018 -- if the issues persist I'd really recommend try using a dedicated text editor instead of the one that comes with NC (assuming you use that). Most text editors should have a live server plugin you can download, which allows you to make and preview changes to your site (even when offline, from what I've seen while using one). Still have --
-- to copy your changes onto NC afterwards, but at least you'll be able to instantly see what your changes were with live server
