yeah... my building almost burned down. that's the reason for the slower updates and me being gone for a week. my room is ruined. before we got rescued i ran to grab my clown plushie and computer. what was i supposed to do tbh? leave all my work behind? nah. we all got CO poisoning anyway. remember when i said "for the past year i couldn't catch a break"? seems it's not over yet...

writing these is actually kind of fun. remembering the moments, the people, the meals, my first impression, how i feel about it now... i hope you enjoy reading it as well. i have a bit of a backlog but i'll be writing at least once per day to clear that out. i got new things to try >:)

aight, beefing about followers on a site meant to revive the old web is just sad. i was refraining from talking about it, because it is absolutely pathetic on so many levels: treating people who supported your project by blocking them, also blocking people who don't support your project anymore due to your own actions, and more over blocking people just because they criticize the way you are handling the whole thing

all in the namesake of an algorithm neocities uses, and tbh thirst to be on the first page. the project, initially, was a good idea, but it has gotten to the point where i come on here to see what my fav sites have been adding and my feed is flooded with enormous threads of pointless arguing or straight up trolling (my fav pokemon is staryu btw).

the grudge with which f+f spoke about being "ranked" below sites with fewer views was startling, and the obsession with the algorithm... like "good job m8! you made it! you figured out the algorithm, abused it, and made it to the first page!" sound familiar? i hope that they "figuring it out" doesn't disturb the rest of the site. it'd really be a shame. it's not the point of this site at all...

i'm so sick of being... well... sick all the time. for the past year i couldn't catch a break. i'm sorry for neglecting the site for so long, i just didn't have the energy to maintain it and add the things i still want to add. i have a bit more free time (and hopefully energy) for the next 2 months or so, so i'll try to do those while i can (*_ _)人
