Amazingly informative and visually stunning blogpost! Your wide variety of sources and painstakingly edited photos of the clothing make this a joy to read. In a way, what you said about haute couture being more accessible and therefore reliant on good styling to stand out reminds me a lot of the club kid movement in the US around the same time, although besides celebrity cameos, I'm unsure if they're related ^^;
