Just watched All about Lily Chou-Chou a couple of days ago and I have to say, your review is pretty spot on. Nevermind the fact that I went for it knowing nothing about the discussed themes of this movie, some of which I did not want to see in my current emotional state, but even with this, I expected something more from such a "cult classic".
The next days after watching this movie where "everything" happens, I watched Cafe Lumiere, where "nothing" happens (on the surface) and it was a much more enjoyable time.
I vibe so much with your takes on friendship and frustration with other people's complacence. It's so important now than ever to stand firm in your beliefs and integrity, which I'm not the best at tbh but I do try. Love your site
Movie review + deleted dead links, rip

It truly was a disappointment, I'm writing down Cafe Lumiere in my watchlist... seems promising
