thinking about breaking away from neocities (or at least go back to default account) and register my own domain (focused around selling/showcasing my art). only thing is the one i want costs $3k like seriously?

Whatever works best for you, might I suggest making your neocities link to your next domain? A few people have done that, it would allow people from here to see you.

worked 50 hrs straight but at least i have a 3 day weekend. spending it prepping for my mom to arrive in less than 2 weeks! i havent seen her since surgery and missed her all through chemo for a year. i cannot wait to hug her ♥
