nearing 1k lines on the art gallery script that's gonna have to be reworked later to account for character pages anyways. it really is incredible the way the nanosecond you fix one problem another one emerges immediately. i want out of the javascript torment nexus!! this was supposed to be done more than a month ago cmon man

finally giving in and learning a bit of javascript for the art gallery and seeing how i could do a lot of things better/easier makes me feel like a caveman discovering the wheel. oh well better late than never i guess

redesign super delayed again because having to write each entry one at a time by hand is fucking draining my soul. i've managed to write up to 2018 but i'm deciding to try and create a script to load the images from a json file instead plus a lot of the older dates were wrong so i have to rewrite that too. choosing to delay the redesign instead of posting what i have so that i dont break anything in the process :/

i've drawn some stuff since i started coding but i'll probably not add any newer art entries until the redesign too. frying whats left of my two braincells to get this shit done
The redesign is almost ready, I just need to design the index landing page and replace all the image lightboxes hehehehehe

just managed to get the javascript for the persistent light theme to work as well. surprisinggly only took like 2 hours. but still the visual upgrade is MASSIVE i seriously cant wait to release this already

oh god im gonna have to update all the thumbnails on the acnh page too. im gonna die
6/12 redesigned main pages done, the base for each year's gallery just needs rewriting the art entries and in the lowest priority would be updating the existing character pages and adding new ones + the worldbuilding page I've yet to finish writing to be added later. I'd say thats about 47% of the redesign done? yay??

working on a more skeuomorphic redesign for the site and also planning to move to nekoweb if i manage to figure out how to show the updates here. no prommies though this is going to take a loooong while bc of college. as per usual

I should also probably mention that another big part of the redesign is actually going to be reestructuring how I organize things - substituting the checkbox hack for the popover api for example. which means I'll have re-do my whole gallery! plus css, theming... it's more like college being 30% of it lol
