Oh I have only briefly glanced at the homepage and I'm already obsessed with the design of this site. I can only dream of some of the stuff you've got going here, definitely going to have to look into JS now....

Haha so, something pretty cool that I did.. made custom css overrides for all the websites I use at work (employers hate me) and God does it look good. I was sick of staring at a bright ugly website at 6am, so I changed all of them to an arcane dark mode similar to my main theme. Anyways, good lord.. Who on earth needs 120k lines of css??? I thought my css was an awful mess, but wtf are these corporate web devs doing

Nah, things are pretty locked down. It's a webpage I have open all day so it's just an override in chrome dev tools. Not the best workaround, but it serves my purpose.

Best part about Neocities:
when you switch from "work on website" mode to "explore websites" mode. You are guaranteed to find jaw dropping websites every time. It's like an endless hyperspace highway of creativity.

thanks man i didnt like that i used ai for some of the coding so that is why i took it down. im actually very slowly working on something different now in a totally different style so we'll see how that goes

So, I'll be hitting 250k visitors today. Less than a month ago I was celebrating 20k visitors. It's all a little difficult to comprehend. I can only assume bots really love my website? Because I cannot wrap my head around that many humans. However shall we celebrate such a grand occasion?

Which, I should mention, the people I am surrounded by here are absolute maestro's. so, I do not feel all this attention is deserved.. Inevitable (the number only goes up), however, far too rapid for a little underground cave dweller like myself. I still don't quite understand why. Many of the most insane websites I've ever seen are still very much underground. Anyways, thank you so much to this community :)

Wow thanks! If you aren't already using some js, it will completely change how you conceptualize your website, so much more is suddenly possible. Highly recommended- I think it's really fun and it gets you into some proper bug fixing.
