i know this is gonna sound cheesy and weird but i want to remind you all that i love every single one of you. im unable to feel hatred (or love i suppose, but i love you in my own way) and i know every single one of you out there have something amazing to bring to this community. yes, even the people that steal. but they're people too.

i'm posting this as a warning to all that have weebring on their page, i'll probably be taking it down in the next few days or so. i already have navlink and the creature adoption game to update whenever i get an email, weebring is just too much for me to maintain. i apologize to all that havent been added and were interested in joining it

in the future i might remake weebring, i don't know.. if anyone is interested in another webring from me please let me know though <3 i could definitely maintain a new one if enough people are interested

real talk tho, i understand how uncomfortable it can be with literal bigots and horrible people on the platform. but i think you all need to realize solving the problem isnt as simple as kyle "just banning them"

he's a one person team, and there are millions of websites on here. obviously he CAN hire a moderation team. but in the end it's his choice, its his platform. this isn't a big company. this is literally just a normal ass guy's hobby platform

and even if he did have people to enforce those rules, that creates another issue. you'd have to look for people who would actually ban the correct stuff. it's easy to just hire random people as moderators and have them ban whatever THEY deem as offensive or unnecessary. one of them may see a certain thing as racist, another may not. and that creates another issue.

kyle is literally just a regular ass dude. if i was him i wouldnt want to deal with all of that either. but as a community, what WE can do about those websites is to just... ignore them. as long as they arent hosting any illegal content or going out of their way to physically harm others, theres nothing we can do about it but ignore it.

and i know thats a hard pill to swallow. as an lgbt disabled person of color myself, i completely understand the issue with bigotry and hate speech. except, them having a website on neocities where they gain no revenue does absolutely nothing. these sites have been around since the begining of neocities' life, and the only reason theyre "a problem now" is because you are all giving them the attention they crave.

this is messy as hell but im not here to say anything interesting im just ranting cuz yall dont posess critical thinking skills
