@onio i was hoping to hear something like that!! i started looking into quadbooting and then just figured why not get a dedicated machine that doesn't have UEFI to avoid all the issues

I just saw your blog post about the BIOS lock bypass you did on your X230, and I was very excited, I just did the same thing on a T430 and T530 a week or two ago! Of course! I didn't quite realize that the T530 and T430 are essentially the same machine with a different screen size, and I do kinda prefer that the T430 is a little smaller, but honestly I love how they both feel and I get all the performance I need. With a CPU upgrade you could make a sick hackintosh with a T530! I heard the T480/T580 are good for that too.

Makes total sense, the video's success definitely signifies a big change in the internet. Seems like a lot of people are very much willing to leave the sphere of giant tech apps now. Hope you've been managing the attention okay, you're great at what you do!
grats on all the success :) i hope its not too much to manage. at the end of the day it's like you said- the site is your personal space, so you really can just do as you please with your page. you don't have to justify or explain yourself or your actions for the site/chatroom/video/whatever. you're just one person with one site and passion project you made; so just do what you want to do and what feels right!
very understandable. this chat can be a good gateway to more persistent and more curated communities. I hate invite-only groups, but with popularity that your video has gained I think a bit of gatekeeping is necessary for now to keep trolls and thielbots out.
personally i dont mind but yeah i got here through that video too (though before i saw it i was looking for a way to host a website) but personally i think your site is amazing and its rlly cool but if you need a break take it

this totally makes sense and even when I was on there I was questioning how this was sustainable for you! if you decide to open it back up, I would do a set hour or two, and up to you on whether you'd set a consistent time/schedule it beforehand. but thank you for doing it! I probably want to write about this more somewhere but I discovered through yours that I quite like chat rooms!
like nomnom said i think its a wise move to lock everything down untill things calm down. i remember having the tab open before just to listen to the campfire and when i visted i dont think chat was ever like, to that level of activity LOL. i think its perfectly reasonable to have maybe an hour of upptime per day untill things chill out. you shouldn't feel obligated 2 keep it up if its burning you out <3
