It has been two years since the Wix-owned DeviantART introduced an on-site AI art generator and allowed "people" to post AIslop. 💔 Is this how xennials felt when Livejournal was sold to Russia?

I agree with you on many significant points here. I myself have no plans to leave this site, having just arrived (on 4/20, no less!). I would say my perspective on the situation is the same as yours. Since the blog post by this person is a year or so old, I am surprised there's a "situation" about this at all, but I guess it is a good discussion to have.
