Okay guys, important news... I found where the little mouse gif I used all over my site is from. Someone told me it's the Photographer from Link's Awakening!!! I feel so bad for using it without knowing where it's from, but we have a source now.

Serious question: How weird or confusing is it to have a different site name and URL? I'm probably getting a domain sooner than later and will probably choose an OC name instead.

I have zero attachment to "hardmachine", it's not my favorite PIG song and I don't want to be mistaken for a bandom fansite if I use it. But if I change my .neocities.org name so many links would break en masse and I really don't want that LOL 😭

Both URLs should work if I buy a domain, though. I was going to save buying a domain when I move hosts, but I don't know when that will happen. If I do, I can just transfer the domain and add a redirect on Neocities, right??

yes both urls will work if you buy a domain although I THINK it would break links on your site anyway? NO ACTUALLY I JUST TRIED THIS ON MY SITE BY PUTTING IN MY NEOCITIES SITE NAME INSTEAD OF MY DOMAIN NAME AND IT WORKED FINE

I don't think it's a huge deal, especially if you set up a redirect from neocities to your new domain that's hosted someplace else. Once you set up your new site I'd say message all the webrings etc with the new website name and set up a redirect. I thiiink that's the least confusing solution. And once all the webrings update the info you might as well change your neocities name too

I'm seriously considering going through every (or most) pages for fixing SPAG and syntax errors. The way I write really bothers me, but I worry this might be "revisionist" in a way. I also don't think people skim enough to notice, tbh.

I plan on deleting these "SPAG checking / rewriting old pages" updates, but I'm alive. Albeit working 70 hours at the beginning of December...
Now that I started watching South Park months ago, I can say that Drawn Together deserved to be cancelled now, btw.
I have something big planned next year that takes priority over reviewing Hazbin S2 and uploading new art, sorry. But maybe I'll set up that Git repo and rework art galleries after that. Whenever. :(
Like, any update I make for a long time is going to be exclusively text or code, no images :( Too much of a pain. (If anyone has advice... feel free to email LOL)
