That essay about the romanticization of ancient Greek culture was interesting to me. The part about the made up goddess reminded me of this snippet I saw being ciruclated online, a factoid about how in ancient Greece, Medusa's image was used in women's shelters, something that I could find absolutely no support for. It seems like it was just made up & no one bothered checking for some reason.

I'm awaiting the Tumblr essay series, I joined as a teenager and the site's culture and how it affected me late teens is something I'm still unpacking...
