i think the reason most neocities webrings go under or lose maintenance after a while is because most of them dont have a "theme"; theyre just a bunch of random websites, when the whole point of webrings back in the day was to help people find sites with similar themes and subject matter

in other news: i found out how to rig the update system so the page you want appears on top
hear me out, i know people like to harp on the klasky csupo splat face logo due to its odd 'fanbase' but if you ever examine it for longer than a 2-second glance, you may actually find it a little creepy. seriously, its bright yellow face and cut-and-paste facial features make it feel like something out of a yume nikki game
here's an interesting fact: the animated movie monster house was written by rob schrab, the creator of scud the disposable assassin. imagine what it would be like if the movie was animated in scud's snappy art style instead of the odd semi-photorealistic cgi they went with

i really love how you give your aliases whole backstories and personalities, and are part of this big underlying narrative in your music; it really gives them depth and reason for being beyond just "look at the furry make the tune"
