I think it is great! I love Go Nagai (have not seen/read Cutey Honey, though; Ita could tell you about it), so I welcomed your Devilman blog openly. I agree with your analysis on the installments you talked about, so there is that. If you are looking for a hilarious, bad dub you should watch the Devilman OVAs and Violence Jack. In short, a Page's Pages seal of approval (I am an anime reviewer, after all). ;)
@pagespages I love the OVAs! I'm very excited to get onto finally watching (and reading) Violence Jack. Nagai has made so much great work it's hard to get through it all haha. Cutie Honey was my introduction to his stuff!
@pagespages Not yet, I haven't been in a mecha mood recently, but I'm currently working on the original Macross and Code Geass. Hopefully I'll get to those eventually.

Have you seen his mecha works? (Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, etc.).
