The part where you talk about compulsively checking your phone despite not having any social media is sadly relatable. I've been thinking about buying a dumbphone too -- although I feel like it wouldn't get to the root of the problem. I hope you'll keep writing about your experience with this new device, and I wish you good luck with your "dumbphone journey"!

oh absolutely. ive gone back and forth on it for a few years and feel like the stars finally aligned enough; i hope i can get some use out of it but if not maybe i'll unlearn the bad habits that i picked up from years of iphone use

YOOOOO congrats on getting Antique Bouquet! It sounds like the brown OP will suit your style very much :o after sleeping on it, i think I'm going to jump on the reservation for the yoke styled JSK and blouse in pink. <3 Your how-to lolita guide is great as well. It's so frustrating that many resources are locked behind private Discord servers now, so this needs to be shared!!

thank you so much ^_^ the JSK is sooo freaking cute and i love how it looks with the blouse layered under it too, can't wait to see how you coord it! also thank you for your kind words about my guide, i worked pretty hard on it and i find guides are usually helpful when you (the person making the guide) are trying to figure out how it works in the first place too cuz you know what sort of Qs newbies are asking haha
Sorry to hear what someone did to your pieces. That's so disrespectful of them. :(
lithium, thank you ^^; yeah i was pretty pissed off lol. it's been addressed and they refunded me and the mods of the comm have also stepped in to tell them they cant offer services but...yeah. i am still just shocked that someone who is into jfashion and knows how expensive this stuff is was fine with being so flippant about my clothes and did all that to them. at least it can be fixed...it'll just take a while orz
i'd get violent if someone did anything to my btssb stuff, let alone if i owned any cornet
tkr, i've been thinking about writing smth a little more at length abt this but there aren't a lot of ppl in my comm who are interested in the like...archival elements of the fashion? i get blank stares every time i bring up cornet so i think i'm the only person who really knows abt them... anyway the cornet JSK was treated MUCH worse than the BTSSB one (although that was still bad) and i think that's why T_T
hm, maybe it's time to introduce them to more brands. most people will reach for what's more accessible (can you believe it, accessible and lolita brand clothes in the same sentence) and cornet is just simply harder to find. hosting panels talking about these lesser known brands is a fun pitch, before they fade into obscurity
my friends and i love to bounce off of each other's styles/interpretations of the lolita look, so that's how we came across stigmata/sdl, stone angel, suppurate system, and beauty beast. it's likely that other comm members are moreso trying to emulate specifically how the pioneer brand stock models style themselves. everyone wants to look like the spitting image of old school baby (and i can't blame them)
hope your pieces can be safely revived. with how rare cornet is i wouldn't be able to forgive that girl lol
tkr: thank you! me too lol. a panel going into os defunct brands could be fun & rewarding, i think you have the right idea here ^_^ a lot of my comm members are into more modern sweet & classic looks, im kind of the only old schooler (who shows up semi-regularly anyways). i introduced a good chunk of them to maxicimam a few weeks ago even
luckily the tailor seems confident in her ability to restore my pieces, its just gonna be an arduous (+ expensive...) process orz. but oh well, nothing time and budgeting wont solve
