I love how all of these stories end like a punchline in a standup routine. Also my ideal wedding is a courthouse followed by a big-ass table at some equivalent of a Cheesecake Factory where everyone wears casual clothes and brings no gifts. But my fianceé wants to dress up for the day lol

Bro, I was just thinking of the Luck of the Irish yesterday after forgetting about it for the last decade. I was also thinking how I was dissapointed I never ended up seeing Sinners. Now I have to see it. The Luck of the Irish was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

I just read your article on fame and the midwest (the punk scene of N. Dakota), and I loved it. As someone who also livesi n the midwest, it makes me feel impassioned to prove those people wrong. "Take that you nameless person I can't think of. I can be someone too!" Not really, but kinda.

Zenon omg!!! Also EVERYTHING about what you said about what I call the Wedding Industrial complex. It's outrageous.

@tab Our ceremony was in a public park, and then we took everyone out to food and drinks at a private space we’d reserved in a local restaurant. We did get a little dressed up, but not a lot dressed up. It was a fun day. :) (I would’ve still just eloped if I’d been allowed to though lol)

@isomorphie I remember that one. It stars the same actress from Halloweentown, which is another of my faves.

@stoneroad I thought Sinners was great, I’d recommend it. And thanks for reading that old post. :) This is something I really feel strongly about. Great people live here, great art is made here, etc etc.

My first assumption on cornboy being more expensive is because of that corn kid that was famous for a little while. if he was a little girl maybe it would be different. however, I would not be surprised if I was wrong and it was misogyny.

I had a big cow phase when I was 10 and I would have absolutely loved these. I mean, I would still love these, but I would have loved them then too

i love looking at these types of sweaters/cardigans on ebay 0:-) so charming. i have a question- what is the texture of these typically like? do you find it scratchy at all?

@neopetgameboy I find them pretty comfortable. Most Michael Simon sweaters are a cotton/ramie blend, so they aren't scratchy like wool. They're not super soft, but not super rough either. If there is embroidery, you can feel that on the inside. I can see that irritating some people. Being cotton, they are also heavier than a wool or acrylic sweater would be.

The hunting one definitively looks like a painting or a tapestry, I had never heard of these sweaters but I'll certainly think about them this weekend, and i thank you for that

very good. i found a Y2K themed one at a consignment (with beaded 2s and 0s all over a black sweater) and it always gets a ton of compliments

Thanks! Honestly, I just take my scans and tinker with them in photoshop until they are seamless (or really, seamless enough). Sometimes I move things around, sometimes I clone stuff out, sometimes I stretch or shrink things. It just depends on the pattern. I’m sure there is a MUCH more efficient way to do it, but dumdum me doesn’t know what that is. Plus, I have fun doing it manually!

@hastiest I was skeptical, but I have to admit it is a really good pencil. Still, it's not THE pencil.

what a cool pencil - i will be on the lookout. i have also lost something since 2004 - an entire building that i swear used to be in this one spot when driving down the highway. i swear i haven't been dreaming it up..
thanks for the premonitions, big fan of the "2025 is the year of" list by the way.
Thanks, I hate that list
Will heed the advice..not sure about korbat however
there's not that much wrong with korbats
I'm on the cusp so I'm trying to choose between Lenny and Bruce and I'd like to request a new birthday instead.
Lenny Bruce would make a decent Neopet
I'll see how Uranus affects me by the end of the month
