I forget who said this, maybe Erdős or von Neumann, "Young man, you don't understand things in mathematics. You just get used to them." And universal properties are definitely one of those things lol. I'm glad to hear you're finding a balance and learning a lot. I'm struggling in my algebra class too. Galois theory is mind boggling
Oh, I forgot to mention - good luck on the midterm!
I hope so! (I can't believe how advanced foreign bachelor's are. You're already the third person to tell me they studied (study?) Galois theory during their bachelor's - which I find crazy because it's very uncommon in France...)
