Your site is so fun. I also want those fingerless gloves! Knitting and crochet is magic

Thank you! They ARE magic - I often wonder when I'm knitting how the heck anyone ever figured out how to do it.

Thank you for sharing your creations with us! I especially enjoy your collages and playing card art. Collage art has always spoken to me deeply since I was little; idk there's something surreal and fantastical about it

I misread 'stand-alone houseplants' and thought it said 'stand-alone housepants' LOL

Took a break from my work- and politics-related alarm to knit a powdered wig for cats. I believe any cat who wears this is more qualified to legislate than the people currently in office.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stubbs_(cat) - Stubbs (April 12, 1997 – July 21, 2017) was a cat who was the honorary mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, from July 18, 1997, until his death in 2017.

if you weren't sure to be discharged immediately for this, i'd say the next time the gulf of Mexico comes up you should call it by its Nahuatl name, Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl. at this point it's hard to take any of this censorship seriously, considering we'll all be reading from christian scientist books by the time this is over.

I like the creative workaround! To be fair we are not calling it the Gulf of America either. We're just avoiding naming it. Like "the ocean off the coast of Texas" and other stupid as hell ways to talk around it. It is ridiculous and infuriating.

Sounds annoying! That being said, in the context of US history it's not too surprising. The US apparently has a rich history of silencing book authors: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_censorship_in_the_United_States

Also, although you mentioned your books are educational in nature, perhaps there could be a legal loophole if the phrase were used as "satire" or "parody"? Just an interesting legal thought

Oh yeah, for sure not surprising. I just never thought I'd have to censor the Gulf of Mexico of all things. It just feels bad to have to bend to the racism and supremacism of these people.

it's the most absurd timeline. I'm a teacher and by the time I left Florida a few months ago, a quarter of the age-appropriate elementary art books from the 90s that came with my classroom would catch me a felony. Really feeling for the families and teachers I left behind
Oh no! Not sure what happened, but hopefully everything is back to normal now.
"Steal From Walmart" XD Love it!
