'Unfortunately, you've put it off so long that conflicts may be bigger on the inside than they first appear.' -- ahh, but what's one more week ;)

I feel an insane amount of anxiety when playing platformers. SURE, Yoshi is cute, but after the umpteenth fall into the pits of doom, I realize that no amount of cuteness can convince me that it's worth it 😅

I do alright at platforming as long as I don't have control of the camera lol

super serious scholarly research on gendered terms in the furbish language

I am a gender-neutral-dude sayer but I'm also WOKE so I do have a constant background hum of worry about whether it will offend anyone. May need to switch to dee-doh.

I would love it if people went around saying furbish terms with a straight face

Do Furbies have their own male and female gender or do they just borrow our words?

Furbys are nonbinary. I believe the two gendered words in Furbish are actually the result of the original translators' cultural biases. Lmao.

That + keeping away animals who attack or steal garden food. Respect to gardeners

Never had a problem with that thankfully. I think the squirrels in my yard find enough pizza crusts etc. that they don't bother my veggies

Just remember it always looks worse before it looks better! (mine has been looking worse for nearly 6 years)

I keep a list of stuff I wanna write and realized that 2/3 of the list right now is just about trash. in the literal sense. i don't know what this says about me. Anyway, here's a trash post.

I love picking up trash. Unfortunately not really in the altruistic sense as much as the selfish 'i can make use of that' sense. Would be fun to get room and board in exchange for cleaning up a neighbourhood

As someone who does this for a living, I can confirm, it is very satisfying.

this makes me think about taking up a volunteering role that's more tangible/physical in the way you describe. right now even my volunteering is very, like, services focused. helpful/impactful for sure but not very physical -- it's good for the soul i think to be able to directly see the change you're making. hmm.

29$ for 2 drinks is the norm here in Sydney Australia LOL (a drink an event is around 15-17) still hurt regardless

Oh so you have CHEAP beers out there. (I am also crying at the price.) The last time I got nitrous at the dentist I had them turn it down because I "felt like I was two edibles in and was having a good time and it's okay if I'm a LITTLE scared".

@divergentrays Hmmm not sure what that's all about. Everything seems to be in order
The yard struggle is so real. Our dog has a neighborhood best friend that catches us outside sometimes and I would die if they got a tick from us and that is my sole mow-tivator this year.
i feel like people can be either a successful outdoor plant person or a successful indoor plant person because no one has the bandwidth to be both.
@neopetgameboy despite my best efforts, I am neither. I only keep up with the vegetables because I want good tomatoes haha
I'm reading a book called Concrete Botany and it has really cemented my belief that hands off yards are much better than lawn. I used to joke in south fl that peeps would stoop to paint their darn lawn just to make it even more fake :p One day I aspire to be a full on garden person that is super hands off, but for now I periodically check on my container mint and parsley plant and triumphantly gloat that they live
Plants are so strange. I feel like they are judgemental. My partner isn't a plant person, but I left him to care for my garden while I was away. Beyond the weeds, it looks great! However, if I baby the plants and do everything I can for them, they wilt. I just think plants hate certain people.
@dicjournal I would love to transition my lawn into low-maintenance native plants at some point. Luckily it's pretty small, so it should be doable eventually
I have the same type of peonies outside my home, so beautiful but frick! I wish the blooms lasted longer than five minutes 🙂↕️The weeds in my neighborhood are so bad, I think we are going to try and clover our yard for a lower maintenance, easier on the feet experience
@daynasdumbdump Yep, my peonies are already dead lol. clover yards are so pretty
