One time I saw a woman at Aldi kneel down to firmly insist to her crying child: You *like* bananas. This week’s Furbish Phrase of the Week is inspired by that encounter

I only have ONE sibling so my mother should have been able to keep our likes/dislikes straight. He loved bananas. I very much did not. I can still remember being very young and my mother trying to make me eat a banana because "you *like* bananas!" Childhood trauma relived.

That solar system one is really neat! I also like the carousel one. Good luck on your quest to find these!

His checkerboards are nice because he uses an alternating colour pattern instead of a typical checkerboard. I also love them!

@eliodelio I am definitely planning on making a Michael Simon style sweater sometime. It would not be too difficult since he uses felt instead of some crazy intarsia knitting most of the time. The beading might be challenging though!

The Den of Filth reminds me of a place I used to rent that we still refer to as "the Mould Palace". That pouch turned out really cute!

Okay, but enjoy June's too because I'm going to feel bad if her genuinely thoughtful efforts are overshadowed by some asshole making jokes

I'm on the cusp so I'm trying to choose between Lenny and Bruce and I'd like to request a new birthday instead.
Thanks for posting the key update - that is a fancy lock! 🦁 Super excited for you that Furbys Against Fascism got a lot of interest! Dah may-may!!
Thank you for the key update, we were all invested! Pink Flamingos is one of my faves and I yearn to see it in a theatre some day.
If you ever end up down south, the EJI museum & memorial Stevenson spearheaded in Montgomery is incredible. I also know what you mean around learning about these things feeling like self-harm, and I appreciate that the way the museum and memorial frame history feels both dark but actionable and pulled me out of a kind of freeze state around these issues instead of putting me further into one.
@smallcypress I absolutely want to check it out if I’m ever down South
Bryan Stevenson's book single-handedly made me a prison abolitionist. What an honor.
