I like the way you use ſ/s in the shrines pages; it reminds me of the distinction between σ/ς in Greek.

mildly annoyed that EB Garamond (my serif font of choice) doesn't support old-style numerals

Cormorant Garamond (the one uſed on the ſhrines) does, but it's too thin to be used for body text

Question: are the events in Holocene History color coded based on event type?

They're colour-coded based on region! Red is the Americas, blue is Europe, purple is Asia–Pacific, gold is the Middle East and northern Africa, and green is sub-Saharan Africa.
