Heya, thanks for following. I read your guides about taxidermy, it was pretty interesting. I think your vulture strategy is a good one, I'm always distrustful of places that sell taxidermied animals or insects (if they have a for profit motive they're probably killing wild animals). But if they're dead already I think it's cool, especially for restoration / educational purposes like in museums.

I really like this! I didn't notice the dithered fingerprints at first, but they lend such an interesting effect to the image!

Thank you ormulum. I like the textures of the fingerprints as well, and I tried to integrate them into the picture in a way that wasn't super obvious.

oh i'm glad you enjoyed them! i definitely agree, i don't love the idea of hunting or farming animals for taxidermy, and getting my hands a little dirty for something i know is ethically fine is okay by me :) i also adore your pixel art!! i love pixels but it's something i can never master, your work is so stunning!
Taxidermy is one of those areas I find morbidly fascinating, there's an old house in Brisbane from the mid to late 1800s and they taxidermied their old pets when they died which includes tiny dogs that can fit in the palm of your hand and colourful parrots that are kept in bell jars. Also, thank you, I'm glad you like my pixel art!
