I remember really liking this poem when I first read it, but the changes continue to up the punch. I still get a shiver every time I start to read about the handyman--you know how carpenters are. God!! The impossible melancholy of watching someone else fix something you were supposed to love. The relief and the guilt. I love every gory image.

Thank you so much, seriously. I wasn't sure about posting this poem bc I was worried the subject matter was too gross/unrelatable/etc... so it means a lot to me.
