When I write music on a piano or a guitar, it feels like it's "out there" and I'm finding it or catching it or channeling it. When I program electronic music on the other hand, it feels like it's all coming from me. I'm creating it.

The movie scene that best captures the feeling of jamming and "finding" a song is (ironically) the "Whoop That Trick" scene from Hustle and Flow. It's the search, the finding, the buildup and the musical payoff
