omg I got a WORKING Sony Vaio laptop at the thrift store and using it is so nostalgic. should I keep it as a nostalgic gaming/writing PC or use it to experiment with Linux? I'm torn.
i'm biased but i'd say go for linux! nowadays you can do pretty much everything you'd want to, and you can keep that nostalgic feeling by picking a version with xfce or by theming!

nostalgic gaming/writing PC. You can just use a VM for Linux but nothing can replace the physical feel
