been a fan for a while & somehow just Actually saw the little interactive passport at the /about page for the first time—it's so fun and so beautifully designed, gosh!! really got to be one of the coolest things i've seen on people's about pages

Thank you! I put it in a while ago after i redesigned the front page — thought it would be fun to test my CSS skills with.
The technique was based on these wonderful facsimile Pokémon cards, with some tweaks to get a simplified form of directional shadows on the leather: https://poke-holo.simey.me/
