Some of my comments on other people's profiles are showing and others aren't. Argh. Got the nav section fixed - p soon my nav section is gonna need its own website lol. Halloween page for the Yesterweb virtual trick'or'treat project live and linked across the board, as well!
apparently the minimum of moderation kyle drake DOES give us that is in the form of being shadowbanned to varying extents if enough people block you on here. i am probably wrong on this btw
If that's true then that might actually be the worst possible way to moderate this site, since you can theoretically shadowban anyone if you have enough sockpuppets to block them with.
a) they might have you blocked, b) i've noticed it taking up to 12 hours for my comments to appear, c) i do think there's a limit of how many comments you can do per day (i somewhat remember seeing this in github)
shadowban is a thing here? Last I saw this wasn't reddit =/ I can see a spam check being intiated if comments are being posted too fast on various profiles, but shadowbanning eh..this is all starting to feel all too familiar. Like google filtering your results because they don't like what you typed in the search.
@enflicted - 100000% - I came here and set up shop becuase I thought there was a cool way to connect and netowrk while having you own entire space, but it begins to feel less and less like that's the case on the daily.
@paintkiller I'm beginning to get that same feeling, I came here for my love of the old web, I wanted my webspace back. But if i'm going to start being censored, or shadowbanned..this hermit might have to pack his tent and gtfo.
"Shadowbanning" on here is something I've come to suspect after noticing a few instances where I couldn't comment on people's profiles. If true I don't think it paints any platform in a good light, especially when one can't easy question it (which I have tried to do here).
might be shadowbanned from commenting like i am
@sugartear - oh goodgrief, now we have to contend with shadowbans? /grumbles

@sugarteara - or possibly not. Either way, it sucks.

@prosequitur - 100%, and I ain't about that mess.
@behavior - ahhhhhh! I haven;t thought to look at in terms of time or frequency, I think you might be onto something there!
